J.J. Cowan

Political thriller and historical fiction. Author of The Tin Soldiers, J.J. Cowan brings more than thirty years of journalism experience to gripping stories shaped by politics, defence, communications and international affairs.

With an MA in Politics & International Relations from Aberdeen University and a Hampshire home life shared with family and two Labradors, his work combines real-world insight with page-turning suspense.

 

 

Gina Rees

Children’s author, illustrator and nature-inspired artist. Gina Rees draws on farm life, family, dogs and the natural world to create warm, imaginative stories with a strong environmental message and illustrations for young readers.

Her background as a marine biologist, primary school teacher, farmer’s wife and mother gives her storytelling a rich sense of curiosity, care and adventure.

 

 

Paddy Toyne-Sewell writing as Pat Malcolm

Thrillers with justice at their heart. Pat Malcolm has worked in communications, served in the British Army and spent time in private security — experience that informs the sharp, high-stakes worlds of Not Me Too and Not Me Two.

Pat’s books follow Annie, a highly trained woman fighting to protect others and challenge injustice, celebrating the strength and resilience of mature women.

 

 

  Jean Baveystock

Sweeping historical fiction inspired by real lives. Jean Baveystock writes character-driven novels set during the Napoleonic era, blending historical grit with elegance, wit and romance.

Her stories explore loyalty, passion and the moments that make history come alive, shaped by years of careful research and a lifelong love of powerful storytelling.

 

 

Sarah Vey

Dramatic children's short stories. From the equestrian Bullen family to theatre, television and starring in the film International Velvet, Sarah Vey’s life and writing draw on a remarkable range of experiences.

Now based in Hampshire, Sarah continues to champion the arts, narrate for charity, host writing courses and work on the sequel to Leap into the Unknown.
