Horses are basically born with a built-in raincoat! • A horse’s coat is naturally water-resistant thanks to oils produced by their skin • When it rains, their hairs can stand slightly on end, letting water run off instead of soaking in • This keeps the skin underneath dry and warm, even during heavy rain • Their thick winter coats can trap warm air, acting like natural insulation • That’s why horses can often be more comfortable without a rug than with a wet one!

What a truly heart-warming evening at the stables, beautifully led by local singers Joya and Peter from Celestia Music. Huge thanks to Four Marks School  and their wonderful choir, led by the fabulous Mrs Cook, for filling the night with festive cheer and stunning voices.
