What a fantastic evening we all had last night. Eleven teams battled it out with ' The Odd Jobbers ' finally clinching the gold medal. Huge congratulations! Medstead Village Hall was packed with 70 happy (and noisy) quizzers who enjoyed vast helpings of Kim's delicious homemade lasagne and drank Tim's bar dry. Evenings like these raise vital funds which enable us to continue doing what we do. Come and see us in action at our Open Day on Saturday 2 May from 10am - 2pm....

We hope to move the ponies to their summer grazing next week. This will be a slow and steady process to allow their digestive systems to adjust from poor winter grazing and hay to much better grazing. Then we will manage the grazing with our track systems into the summer months.

An RDA Activity Leader is a trained volunteer who can safely run unmounted, static horse sessions and horse care activities under RDA guidelines. Training took place today, and what a great session it was! Together, we successfully completed the Horse Knowledge e-learning module as some of our volunteers continue working towards becoming RDA Activity Leaders. We had a fantastic Hampshire training day at Broadlands! It was a really insightful and hands-on session where we painted the main muscle groups on Fee, helping us all better understand how the horse’s body works. We also explored how a rider’s balance can directly influence the horse’s movement and way of going – such valuable learning for everyone involved. Rocky was quick to give Martin our farrier (Tailor-Made Horse Products) a cuddle today! Every 6 weeks without fail, come rain or shine he keeps our ponies’ hooves in perfect condition, making sure they’re comfortable, balanced, and ready for whatever adventures come next.
