We’ve welcomed a few new followers recently, so we thought it was the perfect time to share a little more about who we are and what we do
At Broadlands, we are dedicated to supporting children and adults with physical disabilities and a wide range of learning difficulties. Our wonderful ponies are carefully chosen for their calm and caring nature, and our RDA-qualified coaches tailor every session to suit each individual—working at a pace that feels right for them.
As one of the longest-established Riding for the Disabled groups in the UK, we’ve proudly been helping participants experience the incredible benefits of time spent with ponies since 1955.
Our amazing team of trained volunteers and coaches is here to build confidence, support personal goals, and create a positive, encouraging environment for everyone who visits us.
Based in the peaceful countryside of Medstead near Alton, we offer:
• Therapeutic riding lessons
• Pony Club Mini Badges
• Ground-based therapy sessions
• Tea with a Pony!
The benefits can include:
• Improved coordination
• Increased muscle strength
• Better balance
• Relaxation and sensory feedback through rhythmic movement
• Reduced anxiety in a calm environment
• Enhanced social communication and interaction skills
Led by our Centre Manager, Paige, and supported by our dedicated staff, volunteers, supporters and Trustees, Broadlands is truly a team effort—and a very special place to be!
