The ability to improve the lives of those with a disability
Thanks to our loyal and caring team of highly trained volunteers together with our nine lovely ponies, over the last 63 years we have opened up a world of possibilities in sport, friendship, education and new life skills for thousands of disadvantaged riders.
Based in a uniquely calm countryside environment in Medstead near Alton in Hampshire, Broadlands provides therapeutic riding lessons to disabled children and adults.
So many of the riders we help suffer from not only physical problems but also mental health issues. Our first priority, as a team, is always their absolute safety. From the moment they arrive for their riding lessons to the time they leave they are always carefully managed and cared for.
"When you're on top of a horse, you get this special feeling...
You're just there with your horse and nothing else in the world matters"
What our team have achieved over the years is amazing But the time has come when we need your help.
As a small local charity we are reaching out to you to donate financial support.
Not just for the redevelopment of the whole riding school but also to cover the ongoing costs of all the services we provide.
Please help the many children and adults who come to Broadlands receive the support they all so desperately need in today's world.
After weeks of hard work and so much wonderful help from all our supporters, volunteers and generous donators Phase 1A of the Broadlands Redevelopment removing and replacing the old asbestos roof has now been completed including adding LED lighting to allow night time riding classes .
Huge thanks to everyone who has made this vital work happen!
