Rowan had his first RDA session on Saturday 13 March.  Since arriving at Broadlands in August ‘09 he has been getting used to the environment and being ridden by Lisa to improve his fitness and train him to listen and to do as he is asked.  He has always been more quiet than boisterous but recently has begun to show a bit more attitude, but he loves and respects people.

He always watches the lessons and has followed along during a walk up the fields.  This weekend he joined in, coming over to the school, walking to the mounting block and standing, nearly quietly, whilst Anne-Marie mounted.  It took a little while to get the stirrups right, but all excellent practice having to stand still in the middle of the school with people fussing around you.

As to the rider - Anne-Marie’s comments “He is fantastic.  Really comfortable to ride, willing and gentle.  Well behaved and honesty through and through.  Lovely

A great success from a lovely friendly chap who will fit in to classes brilliantly as his experience grows, plus with more training he will be able to stretch our more advanced riders that little bit further.
